All he could get out when he was first introduced to Lea was, “hey.” Scott had just finished playing a poor game of ultimate Frisbee, was disappointed in himself and just didn’t feel like talking. But Lea didn’t care. She didn’t see Scott, “the bad frisbee player”… she saw Scott, “hello good lookin’!” I mean… when you have it, you just have it. Scott just has it. Can you blame him? (Okay, maybe that last part was a little exaggeration [I guess it depends on if you ask Scott or Lea.].) 🙂
Lea just knew that she had to talk to him again. I mean… there had to more to him than just one word, right? A few weeks past and they went out to lunch after church with a large group. She sat at one end and he sat at the other. As people began to leave, seats opened up near Scott and she found her chance to talk to him again.
They talked for a little while until everyone started to leave so they started walking towards their cars. They continued talking outside with a few other friends until they were the only two remaining. They continued talking outside until they realized they were wet. Yes, they had just spent the last thirty minutes talking in the rain, oblivious to anything but each other. After that conversation Scott knew… he knew she was the one.
I’m so excited for you guys! I can’t wait for your wedding on June 5th, 2010. It’ll be just around the corner. Seriously.
Thanks for looking!
